Asus Fonepad with Intel Processor launched for Rs. 15,999 24 April 2013, 16:37 IST
Asus has launched its new tablet- Fonepad at a price of Rs. 15,999 which is very close to the price Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. The tablet has a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels.
Under the hood, it’s powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor, with a PowerVR GC540 GPU handling the graphics side of things. It has 1GB of RAM, so multi-tasking won’t be that big of an issue.
The Asus Fonepad packs in a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera. It weighs 340 grams and is 10.4mm thick. The device comes with 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB, with a microSD card.
Fonepad users also get 5GB of free cloud storage for lifetime through Asus WebStorage for syncing and sharing data with other devices. The Fonepad has a 4270mAH battery which as per the company promises up to 9 hours of running time.
It won't be wrong if we say that this is a better device than the Galaxy Tab 2, at least on paper but we let the final decision to rest with you, and do tell us your views on the device in the comment section.
